About Me

My photo
We were introduced through friends and started talking in June 2001 when AOL instant messenger was big. I needed a dress for the Debutantes of Monroe Summer Gala that I was apart of. He ended up going with me to David's Bridal and it was very akward going into a bridal store being that it was our first outting. Days, weeks and months passed and finally February 18, 2002 is when it was official that "we were an item". We have a strong and committed love for each other. After many years and many family and friends would ask "When yall getting married?", he finally popped the question in my daddy's office on Thursday July 5, 2007. Since then we have been planning a wedding that will take place at my church I attend in Good Hope - Harmony Baptist Church on March 8, 2008. We bought a house and closed on October 30, 2007. Its a process to make it "Home Sweet Home" and it will not happen over night ... this will take time.

Our new addition

Lady Midnight Marley
DOB: February 7, 2008

We have been looking for a pet since before we got married, just waiting till we found the right one. I was searching AJC classifieds when I stumpled across 3 labs (blonde, black & cinnamon). I sent the picture to Jeremiah and he absolutely fell in love with the black one. He always wanted a black female with a block head. Well, sure enough, the black on was exactly what he wanted. We went to Griffin, GA to look at her on Saturday. Next thing I know, he was writing a check and she was ours. We talked about names before we even saw her. All we were going by was a picture. He liked the name Dixie and I liked the name Marley. I told him Dixie was a common name and I think we should go with something different. He said, your right ... I like the name Marley. Well, it matched her perfectly. The litter owner was calling her velvet because of her beautiful black sleek coat. They asked us what we were going to name her and they fell in love with that name. We did too! We brought her home and she slept in my lap the whole way. We took her by my parents house and introduced her to the "grandparents". Mom said, "I am glad its a puppy and not a baby." We both just laughed. She then added that she wasn't this dogs grandmother. I always kidded her about being that with the family dog Aggie. Dad just always had a smirk on his face (you could go many directions wondering what he was pondering). Jeremiah got a tennis ball out of the trunk and SHE FETCHED IT THE FIRST TIME! She is 11 weeks and 2 days old! He was so excited. So, Saturday was a full day! We had to go to Walmart to get all the goodies. Jeremiah had to get her a stuffed duck. That is HER toy!!! She doesn't play fetch with that. If you throw it, she goes and retrieves and takes it back to her bed. Marley is such a sweetie pie. She also got to meet some of Jeremiah's family and they just loved her. After a big day of playing around and getting her use to the new home, she was P-O-O-P-E-D! I put her bed in the crate and she took her duck, crawled into bed and that was all she wrote. The next morning, we both woke up at 8:00 and went to see if she was a good girl. Indeed she was. No accidents! She is going to be one spoiled rotten lil' girl. Sunday night we went to Uncle Adam & Aunt Nicki's house to play with another lab puppy that is 7 weeks old. They were babysitting their other niece Maggie. They loved to chase each other and hop over one another! Puppies are so sweet. They just need to stay small and stay sweet. I will keep ya updated on our newest addition. More pictures to come as she grows up!
